ECC - Eastern Canadian Crown"
Off to the “ECC – Eastern Canadian Crown” outdoor 3D shoot in Truro . It was a blast with more than 90 other archers in attendance.
Most of the group used compound bows, but the traditional shooters definitely made their mark.
To complete were three courses, each with 20 3D animal targets. Unfortunately, the weather on Saturday was pretty brutal with a humidex of 34. It was tough to find shade except in the woods, but we persevered and tackled the first 40 animals. Despite sweating like crazy, we all had a great time and didn’t forget to stay hydrated.
Thankfully, Sunday’s weather was much kinder to us, and we only had to finish one round of 20 targets. It was a breeze, and everyone nailed it!
To wrap things up, there was a fun shoot-off between the compound shooters, A LOT exciting door prizes, a 50/50 draw, and even a long-shot contest.
All in all, it was a fantastic event.
Just so you know, the 1st place winners received a beautiful buckle and the second and third place winners got medals.
Of course some of our Barn Archers were there and really shone.
