The ‘Barn Trophy’ member shoot

A bunch of Barn archers headed into the woods for the first round around 10 o’clock in the morning, and even though it was already super hot and humid they were laughing and shouting and having a grand old time!

After about an hour and a half, all headed back to the airconditioned ‘Barn’ for a delicious lunch break and to cool off. And let’s tell you this, the food was absolutely incredible! Homemade cabbage rolls, chicken stew, chilli, chicken wings, pasta, potato and Caesar salad, and the most amazing cookies and little cheesecakes you’ve ever tasted…and…the tea biscuits made by one of our youngest members – were absolutely delicious! Yum!
After filling all ‘bellies’, Barn Archers headed back out for the second round, and even though it was a scorching 29° degrees Celsius with a humidex of 36, they were all in high spirits. They were sweating like crazy, but it looked like they didn’t care because they were having so much fun!

Back in the Barn, after everyone had cooled down again and eaten some more treats, it was time for the awards ceremony. Not just for the Barn Trophy, but also for the pins and medals for the winners of the Mail Match 2023. But first things first…

Barn Archers proudly announce Jacob Richards as the overall champion of the 2023 Barn Trophy, with a score of 670 points. Well done Jacob. Way to go!
