‘The Barn’ Summer Sizzle Shoot 2024
WOW – WOW – WOW!
Another fantastic weekend is in the books with The Barns’ annual ‘Summer Sizzle Shoot’
on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th, 2024
The weather couldn’t have been better—not a drop of rain in sight! Tropical Storm Debby left us alone.
While some archers couldn’t join us as they were still at Nationals or on vacation, we still had a great turnout.
On that note, a huge congratulations to Sam Meehan, who took home two golds in her category at the Field and Target Archery Championship in Fredericton, on top of her second place at the 3D Championship.
Way to go, Sam!
Back to the Sizzle…
As always, the shoot featured 3 rounds of 20 targets each, set up in a cosy, inviting atmosphere.
And let’s not forget the highlight for many—the incredible lunch buffet! This year’s menu was a hit, featuring rice and meatballs, ribs, mac and cheese, chilli, quinoa, a variety of salads (potato, pasta, and Caesar), a meat and cheese platter, blueberry cake, cookies, fruit, yoghurt and a BBQ for supper. Wasn’t that delicious?
And yes, there was plenty of time to shoot some arrows too, and everyone performed exceptionally well.
A big thank you to all the archers who joined us for a weekend of fun, and to the amazing Barn crew volunteers for all your hard work.
You made this event as special as always.
