The First 'Frosty-Frenzy' Shoot
WHAT A FANTASTIC SATURDAY IT WAS!

On Saturday, November 18, 2023, the first Barn Archers and John’s Archery ‘Frosty-Frenzy’ outdoor 3D shoot took place. The weather was perfect – warm temperatures like spring, with even some mosquitoes and black flies flying around. Although the weather forecast was a bit tricky to read, it didn’t rain at all out in the boonies and the wind was calm. It was a gorgeous day!
The scoring format was the same as at the Barn Trophy shoot. The archers had to hit 20 animals in the whole ‘kill zone’ using two arrows. If they hit the zone with both arrows, they got 20 points! Every arrow on the target was 5 points; easy to score.
The obligatory shotgun start was at 10 am sharp, and the archers went up into the woods.
After about an hour and a half, a lunch break was on the agenda. A delicious lunch buffet was provided, and all the food was incredible! Homemade chillies, chicken noodle soup, Caesar salad, fruit and veggie platter and the most amazing biscuits, cookies and apple cake.
At this point, a big thank you to all our members who took the time to prepare the food and bring it in.
After everyone enjoyed the good food, the second round had to be accomplished, and of course, all did a great job!
Again…
Thank you to all who came out for a great day of archery, and supporting the traditional way of shooting a bow and arrow.
Thank you to all the amazing people working in the background to make sure that every event is a big success.
Thank you to Swiss Chalet for donating the delicious chicken noodle soup.
You all are incredible!
